WINS invites all eligible candidates for statewide office, state legislature, county office or school board to participate in our endorsement process. 

 

If you are interested in being endorsed by WINS, please email us at wins@womeninthenewsouth.org. WINS accepts applications throughout the political cycle on a rolling basis.

 

Candidate endorsements are the core of our mission and an obligation our Board of Trustees takes very seriously. Eligible candidates will be asked to fill out an endorsement questionnaire and complete either an in-person or Zoom interview with the WINS Board of Trustees. The interview is for the purposes of learning about your campaign’s strategic plan as well as confirming you will uphold progressive values including reproductive rights if elected to office. All candidates go through an exhaustive review process based on assessing a candidate’s path to victory.

 

If endorsed, WINS will feature the candidate on our website and promote their candidacy through social media.

 

WINS will provide financial support to our endorsed candidates based on the financial resources of WINS and viability of the candidate’s campaign.

 

When endorsing a candidate, WINS aims to affirm to our donors that we, as a PAC, are confident that the woman candidate has what it takes to win. For that reason, a WINS endorsement is not awarded lightly.
